In today's hustle and bustle society, it is easy to overlook one's own needs and well-being.  Symptoms of anxiety, depression, and mental illness can substantially impair our capacity to function effectively in the workplace, at home, and in social settings.

As a psychiatrist, psychotherapist, and physician, I strive to understand each patient as an individual, with a unique background, set of priorities, social circumstances, co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions, and patterns of thinking and relating to others.

As such, I work collaboratively with my patients in designing a personalized treatment plan to effectively target symptoms and reduce suffering.  In some cases, this involves use of psychotropic medications; whereas for others, psychotherapy alone may be optimal.  Often, I utilize a combination of both medication and therapy to best address my patients' needs.

My practice is located in the business district of Alexandria, VA (zip code 22314) and serves individuals from Northern VA, Washington DC, and MD.  New patients (with or without a referral) are welcomed.
